Tri and Tri Again
In a shocker to the family and the school district, Julie’s years of teaching came to an abrupt halt due to budget cuts and a technicality. Four months of unemployment were followed by a part-time substitute position, allowing Julie to reconnect with students, colleagues, and the classroom for the year. The job hunt process continues in Winter 2010.
On a bright side, Julie completed her first triathlon in June. The months of training, along with other competitive running events, added to a very fit year.

With the birth of Carson, Julie's role for the Tsais' second son shifted to his needs in the outside world. Julie took some time away from her schools to be with and nurture the little peanut.
Julie's childhood memory of a Hawaii trip was drinking Tang; so, it seems only fitting that the highlight of vacations nowadays is a trip to get boba.
